Restore Habitat UK began with a simple idea. Nature can recover if we give it the chance.

What started as a passion for wildlife and conservation has grown into a charity dedicated to restoring habitats, protecting native species and helping people reconnect with the natural world. We recognised that while the challenges facing wildlife are significant, meaningful change is possible when communities, landowners and volunteers come together with a shared purpose.

From our earliest projects, we focused on practical conservation. We wanted to create lasting improvements that could be seen not only in the landscape but also in the wildlife returning to it. Every wildflower meadow planted, every bird box installed and every habitat protected represents another step towards a healthier environment.

As our work has grown, so has our impact. We have supported the management of more than 2,000 acres of land for the benefit of wildlife, created 5 acres of wildflower meadow, installed over 250 bird boxes with an average occupancy rate exceeding 90%, and helped provide nesting opportunities that have contributed to an estimated 1,850 fledged chicks. We are also proud to support habitats where species such as the hobby and European quail continue to breed.

Along the way, we discovered that conservation is not just about wildlife. It is also about people. Through educational talks, volunteering opportunities and our Connection Through Nature wellbeing project, we are helping people build a stronger connection with the outdoors while making a positive difference for the environment.

Today, Restore Habitat UK continues to grow, driven by the belief that every restored habitat, every protected species and every person inspired to care for nature helps build a better future.
